Constructivism

In my opinion, without any interaction or any kind of debate about subject between students and
among the student and teachers, lesson can be think as a raw fruit since its quite important to be in a interaction among students during the lessons. It will improve their thinking strategies while debating on any topic. They will share their own ideas with friends. So it will improve their friends point of view in a good way.Constructivist approach is the way we can apply students and take feedback from them. The more they participate interaction with other peers, the better they will start to learn and understand the concept of that day's topic. They will complete their blanks by evaluating and having interaction among their self.
On the other hand , constructivist approach may be a negative effect on a students who is introvert person since he or she don t want to have a conversation with other student and want to do his or her study their self by applying without any sharing method. This can restrict their ideas and approaches on any topic. When I become a teacher, I can apply constructivist approach to my classroom since some students can have advantages of it ,however,I don't want to push some students to have this method.

  1. Having discussion about one topic and sharing ideas with others is a good way to improve ourselves and produce new ideas so constructivist learning style is effective for better learning.

  2. I think that you raised a good point in terms of introverts and not everyone wanting to share or converse... However I also think that with a bit of challenge students can get a chance to work on their self expression skills so it seems to be up to the teacher how and when to use this approach and all really comes down to knowing your students if possible :)

  3. Great points Anıl ! I totally agree with you. Maybe constructivist approach is an crucial strategy in student learning. Also, we have to be careful about using this approach in the classroom environment. How can you deal with students who are shy and do not talk too much?

  4. I really liked your expressions Anıl. The sentence "The more they participate interaction with other peers, the better they will start to learn and understand the concept of that day's topic" I mentioned exactly the same thing as well in my post. The negative parts of that approach that you mentioned the things about shy and introverted people, I think this can be solved easly by appyling this method over and over again, remember practice makes perfect ! I was going to ask you the same question, Irem already asked for me " how can you deal with the shy students? I think appyling the tasks over and over again is the cure, what do you think? Thumbs up if you're agree! Great Work Anıl keep it up!

  5. I think all of us agree with the idea that constructivist approach foster students' relationship with their peers while learning, but we should consider independent learners while applying constructivist approach. They are less efective in groups. As s teacher, how would you overcome if one of your student didn't want to join group activitiy?
